The 14th German Mechanical Engineering Summit was an outstanding success! Over 900 participants gathered in Berlin for the largest summit of all time. The event not only presented comprehensive specialist knowledge from renowned speakers on four different stages, but also featured numerous other highlights. Prominent guests such as Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck and Federal Minister of Finance Christian Lindner enriched the event. The newly appointed head of IG Metall, Christiane Benner, made her first important appearance, while Axel Barten accepted the coveted German Mechanical Engineering Prize. The topics of the keynotes and panel discussions ranged from sustainability and digitalization to the role of European mechanical engineering in global competition and the shortage of skilled workers in the industry.
